Are you a passionate and driven chef ready to take the next exciting step in your culinary career? We are looking for an exceptional Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade, playing a key role in delivering unforgettable dining experiences — from elegant weddings and spectacular banqueting events to exceptional day-to-day dining.
We are seeking someone who shares our passion for outstanding hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating memorable food experiences for every guest.
About the Role
As Sous Chef, you will work closely alongside the Head Chef to lead a talented kitchen team, ensuring the smooth and successful operation of the kitchen while consistently delivering food of the highest quality.
This is an exciting opportunity for a chef with strong banqueting and wedding experience, someone who understands the pace, precision, and passion required to deliver exceptional large-scale events without compromising on quality or presentation. Whether it’s a beautifully executed wedding breakfast, an elegant private banquet, or a busy service operation, you will play a key role in making every event unforgettable.
You will deputise for the Head Chef in their absence, maintaining seamless operations and inspiring the brigade to perform at their very best. Your leadership, creativity, and organisational skills will be instrumental in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while driving efficiency, consistency, and team success.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting and inspiring the Kitchen Team to deliver exceptional standards, creating a positive, motivated, and high-performing environment.
- Taking a leading role in the delivery of weddings, banqueting events, and large-scale functions, ensuring flawless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
- Working closely with the Head Chef to design exciting menus that delight guests while maintaining profitability and operational efficiency.
- Maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
- Overseeing kitchen operations to ensure consistency, quality, and smooth service delivery across all food offerings.
- Managing stock control, checking deliveries, and minimising waste to maximise efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborating closely with the Food & Beverage Team to ensure seamless service and memorable guest experiences.
- Supporting team development through coaching, training, and mentoring, helping colleagues grow and succeed.
- Assisting with rota planning and workforce organisation to ensure operational excellence during both day-to-day service and major events.
- Driving high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and kitchen organisation across the brigade.
- Supporting budgetary controls and food gross profit targets through effective cost management and operational expertise.
- Ensuring all company procedures and legal food safety standards are followed with diligence and care.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic chef with:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie, ideally within a hotel, wedding venue, or high-volume banqueting environment.
- Proven experience delivering weddings, banqueting, conferences, and large-scale hospitality events.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and motivating kitchen teams.
- Excellent organisational abilities and calmness under pressure in fast-paced service environments.
- A passion for exceptional food, creativity, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- A strong understanding of food safety, stock control, and kitchen profitability.
