We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join our growing workshop team based in Daventry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Mechanic looking for a stable Monday to Friday day-shift role with excellent earning potential and a supportive working environment.
The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a modern fleet of HGVs and commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to DVSA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections and repairs on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
- Complete MOT preparation work
- Ensure all maintenance records and job cards are completed accurately
- Work in line with health & safety and compliance procedures
- Support breakdown and defect resolution when required
- Maintain high workshop housekeeping standards
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of DVSA standards and vehicle compliance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence required
- HGV licence beneficial but not essential
