About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and professional Care Home Administrator to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home's administrative functions, supporting the Home Manager, staff, residents, and their families.
The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a busy care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all administrative and office functions within the care home.
- Maintain accurate resident records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Process admissions, contracts, and resident documentation.
- Handle enquiries from residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Support payroll, staff records, recruitment administration, and onboarding.
- Prepare invoices, process payments, and assist with budgeting and financial records.
- Order office supplies and manage stock levels.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and maintain staff rotas where required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
- Produce reports, correspondence, and presentations as requested.
- Provide a warm, welcoming reception for visitors and telephone enquiries.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
- Experience handling confidential information.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a care home, healthcare, or social care setting.
- Knowledge of care home management systems.
- Experience with payroll or finance administration.
- Understanding of care sector regulations and compliance requirements.
