Herbert Decorating is looking for a reliable person to give me a hand on decorating jobs, mainly on weekends around Swansea and surrounding areas.
This would suit someone looking to earn some extra money on weekends and potentially learn more about the painting and decorating trade.
No previous decorating experience is essential. I’m more interested in finding someone reliable, hardworking, willing to learn and happy to get stuck in.
The work will vary from job to job and may include:
- Preparing and protecting work areas
- Sanding and filling
- Masking up
- Basic painting and rolling
- Preparing woodwork
- Moving materials and equipment
- Cleaning down and keeping jobs tidy
- General help with painting and decorating work
Someone with previous painting/decorating or construction experience is also welcome to apply, with pay depending on experience and ability.
Work will initially be casual/as required, mainly on weekends, so hours aren’t guaranteed every week.
For the right person, there could be the opportunity for more regular work as Herbert Decorating grows, and potentially an apprenticeship in the future.
Pay: £10.85–£16.00 per hour depending on age, experience and ability, subject to applicable minimum wage requirements.
Own transport would be useful but isn’t necessarily essential depending on location.
