Overview
Due to continued success and growth we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing materials, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our facility. Previous warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are highly desirable, along with the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate forklifts safely. Duties
- Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
- Organising and storing stock in designated areas following safety and organisational standards
- Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and stock levels
- Performing basic repairs on warehouse equipment as needed to ensure operational efficiency
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing items for dispatch and verifying incoming deliveries
- Handling materials with care, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment at all times
- Supporting team members with various tasks related to materials handling and warehouse operations
Experience
- Prior experience working within a warehouse environment is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus
- Proven ability to load & unload goods efficiently and safely
- Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery (certification is desirable)
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, including inventory control and documentation
- Basic maths skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or moving around the warehouse
Candidates should demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A proactive approach towards safety procedures and equipment maintenance is essential for this role.

Pay: £26,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
