Overview
We are seeking a skilled Commercial and Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial environments
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and maintenance
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent future failures
- Document work performed and report any issues or safety concerns promptly
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects on time
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for electrical work
- Strong electrical experience with a thorough understanding of wiring systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to electrical installations
