Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable GRP Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Duties
- Fabricate GRP components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during fabrication processes
- Assist with the assembly of GRP parts, ensuring precise fitting and alignment
- Prepare materials and surfaces for lamination, moulding, and finishing tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to adhere to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets
- Conduct routine inspections of finished products for defects or inconsistencies
- Assist in loading and unloading materials within the warehouse as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of fabrication techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Experience with assembly processes, particularly within a manufacturing setting
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Prior experience working with GRP or composite materials is advantageous but not essential
