Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to assist with the daily operations of our Restaurant, ACRE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing service standards, team performance, and guest experience. They wil act as a senior point of contact during service and support the management team in leading successful shifts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership of the smooth running of each shift, leading the FOH team and maintaining consistently high standards of service.
- Complete full restaurant set up and close down, ensuring all checklists, cleanliness and detailing standards are met.
- Lead pre-service briefings and ensure the team are fully informed on menus, bookings, guest notes and service priorities.
- Act as a key point of communication between FOH, BOH and Management.
- Support the training, onboarding and ongoing development of FOH team members.
- Maintain and champion high standards of hospitality, service, cleanliness and presentation.
- Confidently handle guest issues, VIP guests and service recovery where required.
- Monitor team performance during service and address issues around standards, attitude and conduct when necessary.
- Support effective labour management and have an awareness of sales, spend per head and overall commercial performance.
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef to support the wider management and ongoing development of the venue.
COMPETANCIES
- Excellent, in-depth knowledge of the food menus and drinks lists, including wines by the glass, with the ability to confidently support and develop the wider FOH team’s knowledge.
- Strong communication skills; clear, direct and confident when communicating with both FOH and kitchen teams.
- Excellent knowledge of restaurant set up, service standards and close down procedures, with a strong eye for detail.
- Confident leading a service and making decisions independently, particularly during busy or high-pressure periods.
- Approachable and supportive, whilst having the confidence to give constructive feedback and hold team members accountable.
- Good understanding of labour management and the commercial considerations of running a successful restaurant.
- Strong understanding of FOH operations and how different areas of the restaurant work together to deliver a seamless service.
- Good knowledge of the Straker’s Restaurants Ltd brand, Tom Straker and his food philosophy.
Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
