Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive system architectures, including microservices, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and cloud-based solutions using AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, including UML diagrams, system design documents, and API definitions to facilitate clear communication across teams.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Oversee integration of front-end technologies such as Angular, React, Ember.js, Backbone.js, and Kendo to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Implement best practices for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and other DevOps tools to streamline development workflows.
- Ensure adherence to security standards by conducting vulnerability assessments using tools like Burp Suite and implementing secure coding practices.
- Provide technical leadership in system design reviews, code reviews, and architecture evaluations to maintain high-quality standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in Java, C#, Python, C++, Ruby on Rails, and Perl.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, XML, RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and WebSockets.
- Hands-on expertise with frameworks such as ASP.NET Core, Spring Framework, Struts, Hibernate, Entity Framework, WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), and WebSphere.
- Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB NoSQL databases, and PL/SQL scripting.
- Deep understanding of system design principles including MVC architecture patterns and design patterns for scalable software solutions.
- Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure cloud services including S3 storage and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes for deploying microservices architectures.
- Proficiency in version control systems including Git and SVN for source code management.
- Ability to gather requirements effectively through requirements gathering sessions and translate them into technical specifications.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum for iterative development processes.

Pay: £80,000.00-£110,000.00 per year
