Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Packing Operative to join our clients warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products are packed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with safety standards. Duties
- Operate packing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pack products according to specified standards, ensuring correct labelling and presentation.
- Conduct quality checks on packed items to identify any defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the packing area in compliance with hygiene regulations.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management, including recording quantities accurately.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and safety within the packing process.
Skills
- Experience in warehousing environments is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with packing machinery is advantageous.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and recording data accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy production setting.
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues promptly.
The shifts available are Between Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm
