Crown Gates is a growing, family-run business specialising in high‑quality bespoke gates and automation. We are looking for a confident, organised and customer‑focused Sales & Customer Experience Assistant to join our team. This is a customer‑facing role where you will handle enquiries, support the sales process, guide customers through their project, and ensure they receive an exceptional experience from first contact to aftercare.

About the Role
You will be the first point of contact for new enquiries, managing leads through HubSpot, booking site visits, preparing quotes, following up, and supporting customers throughout their journey. You will also play a key part indirect sales, helping customers understand their options and encouraging them to move forward with their order.
This role is varied, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who loves customer interaction and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Communication & Sales
- Handle incoming calls, emails, social media enquiries and website leads.
- Conduct confident sales conversations with customers.
- Explain gate types, automation options, colours and accessories in simple, friendly terms.
- Identify upsell opportunities (automation, powder coating, remotes, safety edges).
- Handle objections professionally (price, lead time, design).
- Encourage customers to progress from enquiry → site visit → quote → order.
Lead Management (HubSpot)
- Log all enquiries and keep customer records up to date.
- Gather essential information (contact details, photos, measurements, gate type).
- Update lead statuses (won, lost, pending, follow-up required).
Site Visit Coordination
- Book and plan site visits efficiently.
- Confirm appointments with customers.
- Add visits to the diary and pass schedules to planning.
- Ensure customers understand preparation requirements.
Quote Preparation & Follow-Up
- Prepare quote packs using our quoting system.
- Work with the production team to confirm technical details.
- Follow up quotes at set intervals (48 hours, 7 days, 14 days).
- Keep leads warm with friendly, professional communication.
Customer Journey Support
- Organise and upload site visit data (photos, sketches, measurements).
- Offer workshop visits and send production photos.
- Maintain regular contact with customers during fabrication.
- Coordinate installation dates and manage rescheduling.
- Send manuals, warranty details and aftercare information.
Aftercare & Services
- Handle basic troubleshooting queries (remotes, batteries, safety beams).
- Book warranty callouts.
- Book yearly services and maintain service spreadsheets.
