Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team working 4 x 8 hour shifts per week on a rota basis. Must be able to work weekends and early and late shifts. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic hospitality environment, where organisational skills and guest relations are paramount. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities to enhance guest experience
- Maintain accurate records of guest details and billing information
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms meet quality standards
- Process payments accurately using the hotel’s booking system
- Address guest complaints promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all guests
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly advantageous for serving our diverse guest base
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest services is beneficial
- Organised with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional appearance
