Vistech designs, supplies, installs and maintains world-class water-cooling systems for UK industry. This is a hands-on design role at the heart of that growth. The drawings and technical detail you produce feed directly into both our competitive bids and our delivered projects, so the quality and accuracy of your work has a real commercial impact.
Purpose of the role
To produce accurate, high quality technical design work that supports our sales engineering team in winning work and our project team in delivering it. You will work closely with the wider design team to develop and uphold consistent engineering standards across everything we produce.
Key responsibilities
● Produce CAD drawings for cooling system design, including P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams), general arrangements and instrument lists.
● Work with the design team to establish and maintain engineering standards for the technical design of our products and systems.
● Produce CAD drawings for the sales engineering team to use in competitive bids.
● Carry out site visits to obtain the design information needed to prepare engineering drawings.
● Support the delivery of turnkey projects and FEED studies, working alongside project managers and senior engineers.
● Comply with, and support the team in complying with, the Group Health, Safety and Environment Policy at all times.
● Take on wider design and technical duties as the needs of the business develop.

Essential
● Proficiency in CAD software (for example AutoCAD) for mechanical or process design.
● A good working understanding of P&IDs, general arrangement drawings and instrument lists.
● The ability to interpret technical requirements and turn them into accurate, clear drawings.
● Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK to carry out surveys, and a full UK driving licence.
● Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach.
● Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a small, close-knit team.
Desirable
● Experience in cooling systems, process cooling or water treatment.
● Awareness of relevant industry standards and safety requirements (for example ATEX / DSEAR).
● Exposure to FEED studies or turnkey project delivery.
Hours 9-5 Monday to Thursday and 9-4.30 Friday. WFH possible 1-2 a week after probation period.
Pay: £25,420.00-£28,500.00 per year
