Job Summary
A Nursery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within their room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves managing your team, building positive relationships with children and their carers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare, have great communication skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and caring.
Duties
- Be able to communicate with parents staff and children in a friendly yet professional manner.
- Supervise and support nursery staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, conducting regular safety checks and risk assessments.
- Organise activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development among children and carry out observations on the children.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community through use of social media and other sources.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff, parents, and children.
- Proven experience in childcare settings.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage a team effectively.
- Ability to engage with children positively and create a positive learning environment.
This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about caring for children. Someone who has a fun and energetic nature. The ability to plan ahead and organise the room to ensure not only a fun day but a calm smooth day. First Aid would be fantastic however we can put you through this. Safeguarding is a must so if you don't hold this you will need to do so in time. You must be willing to provide previous job references and complete a full access NI check if successful.
