Situated within the Global Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions Directorate, this role is based within the UK Student Recruitment team in Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Outreach (MRAO). MRAO promotes the University's study opportunities, engages with schools and colleges, increases access and outreach and manages applications and admissions. The Student Recruitment team is responsible for recruiting undergraduate and postgraduate students to the university through higher education exhibitions and fairs, activities in schools and colleges, and large scale events on campus.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Recruitment Officer to join our UK Student Recruitment team to contribute to the successful delivery of key student recruitment activities. The primary purpose of this role is to support the organisation and delivery of major undergraduate recruitment events on campus, including Open Days and Post Offer Visit Days, as well as managing some administrative processes across the Student Recruitment team.
The post holder will work closely with our Student Recruitment Events Managers to support event delivery, and will play an important role in managing, monitoring and improving systems and processes within the team. This includes some budget and financial administration. The role also has line management responsibility for one or more of our Student Recruitment Coordinators.
The successful candidate will have experience of working at complex, large scale events and will have a strong understanding of the UK Higher Education system. They will have experience of coordinating events or projects and be comfortable managing workloads of themselves and others to contribute to a successful event or project outcome. They will be a strong communicator with excellent planning and organisational skills, and be capable of delivering high quality work while working under pressure.
This is a York based role. There will be an expectation that the role holder can be on campus regularly to support on-campus event preparation and delivery. In the lead up to key events the role holder may be expected to be on campus daily.
