Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the healthcare sector.
Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility needs
- Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring personalised care is delivered effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing and quality of life
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Support with light domestic tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent care delivery
- Accompany residents on outings or appointments if required (driving skills preferred)
- Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures relevant to elderly or vulnerable individuals is advantageous
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents and their families
Pay: £13.45 per hour
