Igloo Thermo Logistics is looking for HGV Class C Evening/Night Drivers to carry out store deliveries to Starbucks stores each evening/night, working a flexible shift pattern 1 day a week to 5 days a week, with start time between 1430 to 2300 between Monday & Sunday (this will be discussed with candidates at application stage to ascertain start times, shift availability. for example, a working week could be Monday, Wednesday & Saturday). The shift hours are approximately 11 hours 15 mins with a 45-minute unpaid break.
The payment for this role will be £195.31 per shift which is paid monthly
We are a national temperature-controlled distribution company operating across three depots in the UK. We have depots in Leeds, Luton and Taunton.
What you will be doing
- Safely operate the delivery van to transport goods to various locations.
- Average Drops between 8-12 drops per shift. Which will be loaded onto your vehicle in readiness for your start time.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while adhering to store operating procedures, store security protocols along with traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload items from cages, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Handball work will be involved.
- Conduct routine, daily vehicle inspections prior to and after your shift and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and maintain a clean driving log.
What we are looking for
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV license-Essential
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and valid digital tachograph card Essential
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and road safety laws-Essential
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Minimum of 18 Months-2 years of recent experience -Essential
- We will accept up to 6 points on your license, but no DD, DG, TT, DR, CD, IN, CU endorsements.
All successful applicants will be required to request a Basic DBS(Disclosure and Barring Service) Criminal Record check with no adverse results.
