Job Summary
The EXODUS Project is a multi-award winning children’s charity, with a Christian ethos, based on the Barnsley/Wakefield border. We were registered with the Charity Commission in June 2001. Charity number 1118191.
We are seeking a Project Worker (36 hours per week) to support our impactful activity programmes for children and young people in Barnsley and Wakefield.
You will be involved in leading activity clubs for 7-11 year olds, as well as older youth groups. Our established clubs run varied programmes, which include sports, crafts, music, drama, dance and teaching on citizenship issues. In addition, the post holder will support weekend camps at our centre, called Jenny’s Field, in South Hiendley. The role will require domestic and administrative tasks, in preparation for all the above activities.
The successful applicant will have experience of work with children and young people. They will also have good organisational and administrative skills. An ability to mentor and support volunteers is required also. A full UK driving licence is desirable and an ability to drive our mini-buses is also desirable.
This post is for an initial 9 months to cover maternity leave, but our hope and expectation, is that it will continue beyond this period and become permanent.
Pay: From £12.94 per hour
