Stonemason Job Description:
pisastone.co.uk is looking for an experienced Stone-mason and polisher for the manufacture of Quartz, Marble, Limestone and granite to work as part of a team in a busy factory based in TEXTILOSE ROAD, TRAFFORD PARK, MANCHESTER M17 1WA.
The job role will involve:
1. Using hand power tools to shape, profile, polish and finish the products by hand. Most of our work involves hand carving and crafting Limestone & Basalt products as we specialise in bespoke projects.
2. A multi skilled individual with well-rounded knowledge for all natural & man-made products from the fabrication process to installation to the end user.
3.Installing and templating of worktops (desirable).
4. Experience in building up mitred edges is an advantage but not essential.
5. A competent and experienced individual to manage the factory, grow our manufacturing operations & help to build a manufacturing team.
6. This position involves meticulous attention to detail and requires particular attention to detecting defects.
Area of experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience in working with natural stone products but also be able to work with newer products on the market such as Quartz & sintered surfaces.
