Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team term time only, fixed term contract with a view to extend. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children within a nurturing and stimulating environment. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Support children’s emotional, social, and physical growth through attentive care and guidance.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with parents and team members regularly.
- Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, nap times, and hygiene practices.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that meet individual needs and organisational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years frameworks.
- Support the management team in organising activities and events that enhance children's development.
Requirements
- A full and relevant level 3 or above childcare qualification.
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm when working with young children.
