We're looking for an experienced Coffee Shop Shift Leader to join the team at our busy Old Market coffee shop.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is passionate about coffee, enjoys leading people and wants to build a long-term career within a growing independent business.
You'll be responsible for leading shifts, maintaining exceptional coffee standards and helping deliver the outstanding customer experience The Coffee Cart Company is known for.
This Role Is For You If You...
- Have at least 2 years' commercial barista experience.
- Can confidently operate a traditional espresso machine.
- Know how to dial in espresso and adjust grinders throughout the day.
- Produce consistently excellent milk texture and latte art.
- Have experience leading or supervising a café team.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Want a permanent role with opportunities to develop.
This Role Isn't Suitable If...
- You're looking for your first café job.
- You're seeking temporary, seasonal or college work.
- Your coffee experience is limited to bean-to-cup machines.
- You don't have previous commercial barista experience.

Your Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and support the wider team.
- Open and close the business as a Key Holder.
- Produce consistently exceptional coffee.
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Coach and develop team members.
- Complete cash handling and end-of-day procedures.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Support stock control and deliveries.
- Ensure all food safety and company standards are maintained.
