We have an opportunity for you. Our Personal Advisor play a key role in ensuring good outcomes for children, young people and families by providing high quality, cost-effective services based on the experience and progress of children in care and care leavers. To deliver an efficient and effective leaving care service to young people that supports the outcomes of ‘Keep on Caring’ and related national and local priorities and policy objectives.
Core responsibilities and duties will include developing collaborative and aspirational Pathway Plans, utilising current best practice standards, managing change, making informed decisions, and delivering at pace, appropriate care plans, for those leaving the care system.
To support young people in care and those leaving care, including separated young people, to navigate the complexities of accessing services, including housing, education and employment, health, emotional wellbeing, and other services as required.
Personal Advisor manage an individual case load of young people, with additional complexities, such as children and young people with disabilities, separated young people, those in the criminal justice system and those at risk of Child/Vulnerable Adult Exploitation.
Due to the nature of the post, the successful applicant will have a full UK driving licence or alternative means of travelling both in and outside of the Doncaster area. The role primarily works within the hours of 9am-5pm, however there are occasions where Personal Advisors are required to work outside these hours to support our young people in crisis or to engage in positive activity.
