Overview
We are seeking an experienced Class 2 driver to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations throughout the North West. All deliveries are palletised and are unloaded either on a loading bay, through the curtains by customers with an FLT or with a tail lift and pump truck. The ideal candidate will have previous multi drop delivery experience, however training will be provided to the most suitable candidate.
Duties
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Secure loads, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork for each trip.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.
- Deliver palletised deliveries throughout Liverpool and Widnes
- Monday to Friday with 6.30am to 7.30am starts
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver is essential, ideally within a pallet network, although training will be provided to the successful candidate.
- Valid commercial driving licence (C) with a maximum of 6 points and up to date CPC.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively due to time critical deliveries.
- Excellent communication skills when contacting the transport office
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
In return, we offer,
- a yearly salary of £33,000 (paid monthly) plus a conditional bonus of £150 per month paid in addition to the monthly salary, provided all conditions are met.
