1, Wrap Around Care Club Supervisor:
To be responsible for the development and daily management of the Breakfast /Lunch or After School Club providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children. Work in partnership with parent and carers and to promote the well-being of the children.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Be familiar with and comply with all the school’s policies and procedures. Ensure that the school’s health and Safety Policy and Child Protection Procedures are adhered to. Liaise with the head teacher if there are any concerns regarding safety. Ensure confidentiality. Plan, prepare and deliver quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment, appropriate to pupils’ ages and stages of development, taking into account any special needs. Interact in a positive way with children, other members of staff and parents/carers. Provide refreshments ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met. Administer first aid when necessary and record any injuries in the accident book and notifying parents as and when necessary. Set up the play space, including moving furniture and play equipment. Ensure registration and consent forms are completed for each child and liaise with parent/carers as necessary. Monitor the number of children booked in for each session. Forward cheques/cash to the school office. Record in the accident book any incident/accident and the action taken. Remind children of the Behaviour Policy and acceptable behaviour codes and if necessary complete behaviour forms and discuss issues with parents/carers
Line Management
Limited supervisory responsibility for parent, helpers or other volunteers/visitors to the club.
Problem Solving and Creativity
- Oversee children during activity and refreshment time, taking part as appropriate. Instigate child-centred play in a structured environment and relaxed atmosphere maintaining overall quality of care. Ensure that the environment where the children are playing is safe and stimulating. Ensure that there are adequate and age appropriate activities available for each session. To assist with the collecting and returning of equipment.

Working Environment
Most activities will be undertaken within the school premises. The post holder may exceptionally be required to attend to pupils who have sickness or toileting problems.
