Job Summary
Due to rapid growth we are seeking a skilled and reliable Tyre Fitter / Wheel Refurbs technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting tyres, refurbishing wheels, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a good understanding of mechanical systems, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to perform maintenance tasks. The position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills within a professional environment, supporting both vehicle safety and aesthetic standards.
Responsibilities
- Fitting tyres onto wheels using appropriate hand and power tools with precision and care
- Refurbishing wheels, including cleaning, repairing, and restoring to high standards
- Conducting routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment and wheel refurbishment tools
- Performing safety checks on vehicles before and after tyre fitting or wheel refurbishment
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency during operations
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or wheel refurbishment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and specialised tyre fitting equipment
- Experience with power tools used in wheel repairs or refurbishments is advantageous
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety compliance
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the tyre fitting and wheel refurb industry
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
