ROLE PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Global Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the Warehouse & Logistics Administration Apprentice will provide administrative support to the Warehouse and Logistics departments, whilst undertaking a structured apprenticeship programme, in Business Adminsitation level 3, and developing the knowledge, skills and experience required to progress within an operational environment.
The role will provide exposure to a broad range of warehouse and logistics activities, including goods inwards, despatch, courier bookings, stock and system administration, data management and communication with internal departments, suppliers and customers.
This role would ideally suit an organised and enthusiastic individual looking to begin their career within warehouse, logistics and operations. Full training and support will be provided, with the successful candidate expected to demonstrate a willingness to learn, good attention to detail and a positive approach to their personal and professional development.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
- Assist with the day-to-day administration of the Warehouse and Logistics departments.
- Support the coordination of incoming goods, liaising with suppliers, the Warehouse, Purchasing and other relevant departments as required.
- Assist with the booking in and administration of incoming goods for UK and international operations.
- Support the Logistics team with the preparation and communication of information relating to goods inwards, despatches and collections.
- Assist with booking couriers and transport providers, including the preparation and processing of labels and relevant documentation for daily collections.
- Maintain accurate information within company systems, ensuring records and data are kept up to date.
- Assist with system transactions and administrative processes relating to Purchasing, Warehouse and Logistics activities.
- Support the preparation of delivery, collection and despatch documentation.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding time-sensitive orders and deliveries, escalating any potential issues or delays to the appropriate team member.
- Assist with tracking deliveries and collections and provide updates to relevant internal stakeholders where required.
- Work alongside the Quality department to support the administration of product returns and ensure the appropriate company processes are followed.
- Assist with the collation and preparation of data and reports relating to Warehouse and Logistics activities.
- Develop an understanding of warehouse and logistics processes and identify opportunities to improve administration, communication and efficiency.
- Communicate professionally with suppliers, customers, couriers and internal colleagues by telephone, email and in person.
- Develop a good understanding of the Company's products, systems, processes and operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in accordance with Company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Global Warehouse & Logistics Manager and wider Operations team.
- Undertake all learning, training and development activities associated with the apprenticeship programme, including completing assignments and attending training sessions as required.
- Take responsibility for personal development and actively apply learning from the apprenticeship programme within the workplace.
- Comply with Company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Provide general administrative support to the Operations department as required.
- Undertake any other ad hoc duties as requested by line management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:
- Good standard of GCSEs or equivalent, including min grade 4 in English and Maths.
- No previous warehouse or logistics experience is required as full training will be provided.
- A Levels or equivilant, highly desirable.
Pay: From £8.00 per hour
