Receptionist and Administrative Assistant – Welsh Bridge, Shrewsbury (full time)
We are looking for a professional, organised and friendly Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to join our busy Practice Support team at our Welsh Bridge office in Shrewsbury.
This is a varied front-of-house and administration role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent client service and can remain calm, accurate and helpful in a busy office environment. You will be one of the first points of contact for clients, visitors, callers and colleagues, helping to create a welcoming and professional experience while supporting the smooth running of the office.
The role will involve:
· welcoming clients and visitors and supporting a positive front-of-house experience;
· answering, screening and directing telephone calls professionally and efficiently;
· taking accurate messages and supporting diary, appointment and meeting room arrangements;
· assisting with post, scanning, filing, archiving, photocopying and document handling;
· using office, telephone, Microsoft 365 and case management systems accurately;
· working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm; and
· handling confidential information carefully and in line with firm procedures.
We are looking for someone who:
· has a professional, welcoming and calm manner;
· communicates clearly and confidently by phone and in person;
· is organised, accurate and able to prioritise a varied workload;
· has good attention to detail and sound written communication skills;
· is comfortable using Microsoft 365 and general office systems;
· understands the importance of confidentiality; and
· brings a positive, flexible and team-focused approach.
Previous reception, customer service or office administration experience would be helpful, and experience in a legal, professional services or regulated environment would be an advantage. However, we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate the right attitude, client care skills and ability to work accurately in a professional environment.
