Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in machining processes, including machining non ferrous material .The successful applicant will contribute to the production of high-quality parts, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Set up, programme, and operate CNC turning machines to produce complex components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Interpret CAD drawings and utilise SolidWorks for part design and verification.
- Perform grinding, milling, and other machining operations as required to achieve precise dimensions.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools and measuring instruments, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain and adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Assist with welding, assembly, and plastics injection moulding processes when necessary.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during machine operation and handling of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating CNC turning centres with a solid understanding of machining principles.
- Experience with grinding, milling, welding, and plastics injection moulding processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, tooling setup, and fixture installation.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and programming adjustments.
- Knowledge of assembly procedures related to machined components.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output. This position is suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within a professional manufacturing setting while contributing to the production of precision-engineered components.
