Job Overview
As the Recruitment & Retention Officer for Bury Town Community FC you will play a crucial role in recruiting players and coaches to the football club and helping to retain them within the club. A key aspect of this role will be to follow the systems that are already in place to introduce players and coaches to the club and develop these for the benefit of the club and to ultimately help to increase football participation for all.
Reporting to: Chairman and Trustees
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain good working relationships with Club officials, coaches, parents and players.
- Be friendly, approachable and adopt a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Attend Committee/AGM/SGM meetings as required (generally meetings are held once a month).
- Wear Bury Town Community FC branded clothing whilst performing duties for the Football Club and maintain the positive image and reputation of the football club at all times.
- Recruit new players and coaches to the football club and help with team formation in-line with the strategic plan agreed with the Trustees and Management Committee.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with other local football clubs, professional clubs and external agencies.
- Work within the financial parameters set by the football club.
- Provide a monthly report of actions and recommendations to the Trustees and Management Committee so any additional support and initiatives can be actioned.
- Improve retention of coaches and players across all teams which will involve speaking to the coaches to see what support they might need.
- Recruit and onboard new coaches to the club in-line with the strategic plan agreed with the Trustees and Management Committee.
