To apply for this role, you are required to hold a recognised 3-year Diploma level Counselling qualification with substantial post qualification counselling experience. You must also have experience of managing volunteer counsellors and line managing experienced counsellors in an organisational setting.
Are you an experienced counsellor, with management skills, who is passionate about making a difference to people affected by sight loss?
We're looking for a Counselling Team Leader able to deliver high-quality telephone, email, and online counselling to adults, children, and young people affected by sight loss in combination with managing our services’ volunteer counsellors and line managing experienced core counsellors.
You will have substantial post-qualification experience, clinical supervision expertise and previous experience managing volunteer counsellors and line managing experienced counsellors within a service setting.
In this rewarding role, you'll:
- Provide professional counselling and emotional support to people affected by sight loss.
- Manage the service’s volunteer counsellors
- Provide line management to core service counsellors
- Deliver one to one and group clinical supervision and help maintain excellent clinical standards.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement and volunteer recruitment.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
