Education and Training Manager
18 Months Fixed-Term or Secondment in the Department of Laboratory Medicine
Band 7
36 Hours per week
Duties & responsibilities:
To be responsible for managing, developing and co-ordinating the local training and development needs of the staff within the Department of Laboratory Medicine.
To be responsible for the design, delivery and implementation of training and education programmes across all sites and the coaching, mentoring and assessing of all staff undertaking registration and specialist portfolios. The Education and Training Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that all staff undertaking further education are progressing in a timeous manner.
Key requirements:
In order to apply you must be registered with the HCPC and be educated to Masters level qualification in a science discipline.
Candidates should have experience of mentoring and coaching staff through Pre & Post registration qualifications.
Knowledge and understanding of Laboratory training requirements.
Experience of development and delivery of in house training workshops.
Experience of facilitation, consultation and negotiation with senior managers.
