Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, and all surfaces, adhering to company standards.
- Change bed linen, replenish amenities, and ensure all items are in proper place.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as corridors, lobbies, and stairwells.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively, ensuring proper storage after use.
- Assist with laundry duties when required, including sorting, washing, and folding linens.
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following instructions accurately.
- Good organisational skills to manage time effectively across multiple rooms or areas.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills to report issues clearly and work collaboratively with team members.
