An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Glenmore Trust to take a leading role in supporting unpaid carers and their families across the Eden Area.
We are looking for a compassionate, confident and motivated Carer Lead who can combine hands on support with leadership, coordination and the development of high-quality services for both adult and young carers.
Eden Area
£17.05 per hour | £32,797.44 per annum
36-month fixed-term contract
About the role
As Carer Lead, you will take a key role in coordinating and developing our support for unpaid carers across Eden.
Working alongside our Support Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day guidance and practice support, help coordinate referrals and caseloads, and ensure carers receive high-quality, person-centred support.
You will also:
Maintain an appropriate caseload and provide direct support to carers
Support and oversee Carer's Assessments and reviews
Take a lead role in safeguarding practice
Help coordinate activities and opportunities for young carers
Develop strong relationships with schools, health and social care professionals and community organisations
Promote the identification and involvement of unpaid carers across Eden
Monitor outcomes and contribute to the ongoing development and quality of the service
We're looking for someone who...
Is compassionate, approachable and passionate about improving the lives of unpaid carers and their families.
You'll be organised and confident working independently, but you'll also be someone who can lead, support and guide others, build strong professional relationships and help us develop the service as it grows.
Previous leadership, senior or supervisory experience would be an advantage, along with experience of working with carers, children and young people, health or social care, or within the voluntary/community sector.
