Research and Knowledge Exchange Associate (Part-Time, 2 Days per Week, 12 Months)
The Centre for the Art of Living and Dying Well at St Mary's University is seeking a Research and Knowledge Exchange Associate to support its programme of research, publications, training, and public engagement.
The postholder will contribute to a range of qualitative research projects, including studies exploring ethnically diverse faith perspectives on death literacy and end-of-life care. Other responsibilities will include conducting literature reviews, supporting ethics applications, collecting and analysing data, contributing to peer-reviewed publications and reports, disseminating findings, and assisting with the development and writing of grant applications.
The role will also contribute to the Centre's knowledge exchange through events, podcasts, website content, and stakeholder engagement.

We are looking for a Research and Knowledge Exchange Associate with experience in qualitative research and in producing work which informs practice, policy, and public understanding.
The successful candidate will bring strong academic writing skills, and will have experience in contributing to peer-reviewed publications, reports, and other research outputs. They will also be a confident communicator and presenter.
We are looking for someone genuinely interested in interdisciplinary research, with a particular curiosity about topics such as death literacy, end-of-life care, bereavement, health communication, faith, ethics, or related areas. A background in research with ethnically diverse faith communities into death literacy and end-of-life care is a real advantage.
The role calls for someone who can juggle competing priorities, work independently when needed, and build good working relationships across academic, community, and professional settings. Experience supporting grant applications, along with knowledge exchange and public engagement work, would be a real plus.
