Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Miller Turner to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing milling and turning equipment to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate milling machines, lathes, and other turning equipment with precision to produce specified parts.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, and blueprints to ensure accurate manufacturing.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to perform machining tasks efficiently and safely.
- Conduct grinding, welding, and assembly processes as needed to complete components according to specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including measurements, adjustments, and quality checks.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines and troubleshoot machining issues promptly.
Skills
- Proficiency in grinding, milling, turning, and welding techniques.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks for designing or interpreting parts.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of machine operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and tolerances.
- Knowledge of tooling setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting machining equipment.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to machining and assembly environments.
