Experience of providing administrative support is essential. Previous experience in a healthcare setting would be an advantage however full training will be given on our in-house IT systems.

- Day-to-day reviewing of the production of accurate and timely rotas and timetables for Neonatal Nurses, Neonatal support workers, the Transitional care team, ward clerks and student nurses working within the neonatal unit and transitional care.
- To create and oversee orientation plans for new ward clerks.
- Key responsibility in providing administrative support in relation to the working patterns of neonatal and transitional care staff in the department, as well as supporting with the administration relating to sick leave, special leave, holiday planning and attendance management.
- To review, amend and cover the rotas on a day-to-day basis, ensuring cover is provided in the event of sickness and absence and appropriately deploying staff as necessary, under the guidance and supervision of the Matron in charge to ensure safe staffing levels.
- To ensure unresolved rota issues are escalated appropriately to the Matron or ward manager.
- To calculate annual leave entitlements and ensure the accurate recording of these and other types of leave onto eroster.
- To provide a monthly report to the matron from Health Roster demonstrating monthly fill rate, sickness, and maternity percentage across the rosters. This informs the safety report which is presented to the Trust board monthly.
- To act as a point of contact for all rota queries for neonatal and transitional care team.
