Role Overview:Support’ed is seeking compassionate, values-driven Youth Workers/SEND Education Key workers to support young people with SEMH / SEND using a relationship-based, trauma-informed, and attachment-aware approach. The role focuses on building meaningful relationships, promoting engagement in learning, and helping young people achieve outcomes outlined in their EHCPs (if applicable).
Key Responsibilities:
· Build strong, positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals
· Support learning and personal development in line with EHCPs and learning plans
· Encourage participation in formal and informal learning activities
· Apply trauma-informed and attachment-aware practices
· Promote inclusivity, equality, and respect
· Prepare end-of-term reports and attend training/meetings
· Role-model positive behaviour and contribute to service development
Person Specification:
· Strong values aligned with respect, trust, transparency, and community
· Exerience of working with Young People in Residential Settings / Looked after children.
· Experience working with young people with SEND
· Emotionally intelligent, resilient, and compassionate
· Confident working independently and as part of a team
· Flexible, creative, and adaptable
· Competent with ICT and Microsoft Office
Requirements:
· Relevant qualifications or training in SEND, youth work, or education
· Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
· Enhanced DBS check (funded by the organisation)
