WE’RE HIRING – CLAIMS HANDLER
Due to continued growth, DNH Construction Ltd is looking for a motivated and organised Claims Handler to join our expanding team in Plymouth.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week office-based role, working closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, project managers and our trades teams to help ensure insurance repair projects run smoothly from instruction through to completion.
The role is highly customer-facing, so we’re looking for someone who is confident communicating with people, well organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

The role will include:
- Acting as a key point of contact for policyholders throughout their repair journey
- Liaising regularly with insurers, loss adjusters and other stakeholders
- Providing policyholders with clear and regular progress updates
- Coordinating appointments, trades and project requirements
- Working closely with Project Managers to ensure works remain on programme
- Monitoring live claims and identifying any delays or issues requiring action
- Updating our internal systems and maintaining accurate claim records
- Managing emails, telephone calls and general claim administration
- Requesting and providing information to insurers and loss adjusters
- Helping coordinate completion, snagging and final customer sign-off
- Handling customer concerns and complaints professionally and working with the wider team to achieve a resolution
- Ensuring communication between all parties remains clear throughout the project
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Confident telephone and email manner
- Ability to manage a busy workload and multiple live claims
- Comfortable working to deadlines and following up outstanding actions
- Good IT and general administration skills
- A proactive, problem-solving approach
- Ability to remain professional when dealing with challenging situations
- Previous experience within insurance claims, construction, property repairs or customer service would be advantageous, although full training will be provided
You’ll be joining an established company with a strong pipeline of work and a team focused on delivering high-quality repairs and excellent service to policyholders across the South West.
