Job Description – Nursery Administrator, Apprentice, Term time, you will be off over the school holidays but paid 39 weeks over 12 months plus holiday allowance
To provide high-quality administrative support to the nursery team while working towards a recognized business administration qualification. The role involves managing daily office tasks, welcoming families, and strictly upholding the nursery's safeguarding policies to ensure a safe environment for all children.
Key Responsibilities
General Administration
- Manage the nursery reception desk.
- Greet parents, visitors, and contractors.
- Answer phone calls and emails.
- Forward messages to appropriate staff.
- File, scan, and photocopy documents.
- Maintain organised physical and digital records.
- Monitor and order office supplies.
- Update children's attendance registers daily.
Finance & Admissions Support
- Assist with processing nursery fees.
- Issue invoices and receipts to parents.
- Input data into nursery management software.
- File enrollment and funding forms.
- Log inquiry forms from prospective families.
Safeguarding & Safety
- Follow all nursery safeguarding policies.
- Report any child protection concerns immediately.
- Pass concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Check identities of all visitors.
- Issue visitor badges to authorized guests.
- Ensure visitors sign the guest log.
- Prevent unauthorized entry to the building.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of child records.
- Follow GDPR guidelines for data protection.
