What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Executive Strategy: Partner directly with the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors to steer long-term financial planning, commercial strategy, and capital allocation.
- Financial Control & Governance: Oversee all financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, statutory reporting, tax strategy, and audit controls.
- Growth & Commercial Leadership: Identify opportunities to improve margins, drive operational efficiencies, evaluate M&A possibilities, and optimize cash flow.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing finance, accounting, and payroll team, fostering a supportive and high-trust work culture.
- Risk & Compliance: Maintain robust internal controls, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and banking/investor relations.
- Stakeholder Management: Present clear, actionable financial reporting and data insights to internal stakeholders, investors, and external partners.
What You Bring (Requirements)
- Full professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with substantial post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Proven track record in a senior financial leadership role (e.g., CFO, Finance Director, VP of Finance), ideally within a scaling or mid-market business.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic vision beyond standard accounting operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing cash flow, commercial contracts, investor relations, and banking relationships.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of building and developing collaborative finance teams.
- Comfortable operating with high autonomy in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.
