Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Workshop Assistant to join our highly motivated and friendly team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the smooth operation of our workshop. Your job role would entail working alongside our technicians and providing assistance to them in the day to day running of the workshops. Duties
- Loading/Unloading test weights using a fork truck/pallet truck for brake testing - training will be given.
- Support the organisation and cleanliness of the workshop, including tool storage and inventory management
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure working environment for all team members
- Prepare materials and components required by the technicians, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met
- Steam cleaning vehicles for MOT preparation
- Collection and delivery of customer vehicles
- Collection of parts where necessary
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with tools and equipment
- Organising deliveries of parts for stock or work in progress
- Assisting technicians as and when required
- Prior experience in a warehouse or workshop environment is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials comfortably throughout the workday
Pay: £26,500.00-£30,500.00 per year
