Junior Buyer

Here at Bonmarché, we have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Buyer to join our Head Office team. This is a fantastic next step for an experienced Assistant Buyer looking to develop within a successful women’s fashion retailer.
The Role
Working closely with the Buying Director, Buyer, Merchandiser and suppliers, you will help plan and deliver a profitable, commercial range aligned to our brand and customer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and building a profitable range
- Negotiating with suppliers (FOB & landed)
- Managing the critical path and meeting key deadlines
- Reviewing competitor activity and price architecture
- Trading the department to maximise sales and margin
- Supporting fit, quality and product development with the Technologist
- Collaborating with Marketing on launches, POS and key events
About You
- Minimum 1 years’ experience at Assistant Buyer level
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- Proven ability to build profitable ranges
- Confident communicator and team player
- Organised, flexible and able to work at pace
