The role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care within our care home. You will be responsible for clinical assessments, care planning, medication management, and supporting care staff, ensuring care is delivered in line with NMC standards, CQC/CIW regulations, and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ needs and develop, review, and evaluate personalised care plans.
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care, promoting dignity and resident choice.
- Administer medications and treatments in line with NMC and MAR chart protocols.
- Monitor residents’ health and respond promptly to changes in condition.
About You
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a current NMC Pin.
- Strong clinical knowledge and sound professional judgement.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and committed to person-centred care.
- Confident communicator with the ability to lead and support others.
- Experience in a care home or elderly care setting desirable but not essential.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD and willingness to undertake further training.
- Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, PEG feeds, catheter care, falls management, and end-of-life care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and complete risk assessments.
- Lead, supervise, and support Care Assistants, Senior Carers, and CHAPs.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, ANPs, therapists, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, health & safety, and CQC/CIW standards.
- Participate in audits, training, and continuous improvement activities.
Pay: £21.57 per hour
