Job Overview
CR2 Security Group is seeking professional, reliable, and vigilant Security Officers to join our team at a local college campus. This is a Monday to Friday position, providing a stable working pattern within an educational environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of college buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor CCTV and other security systems to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and property.
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorisation for staff, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and welfare concerns.
- Support the college's safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting any concerns in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the campus to promote a safe and secure learning environment.
- Provide assistance and guidance to students, staff, and visitors when required.
- Accurately complete incident reports, daily occurrence logs, and other security documentation.
- Liaise with college management, emergency services, and external agencies as necessary.
- Assist with evacuation procedures, lockdowns, and other emergency response measures when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous security experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in challenging situations.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with young people, students, or within an educational environment would be advantageous.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and the importance of protecting children and vulnerable young adults.
- First Aid qualification is desirable or a willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Good written and verbal English skills.
Vetting Requirements
Due to the nature of this role within an educational environment, all successful applicants will be required to undergo company screening and vetting in accordance with BS7858 standards.
Applicants will also be required to successfully complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (EDBS) check prior to commencing employment.
