Warminster | Part-Time 3 or 4 days p/w | Permanent | £12.50–£13.50 per hour
We are a small, family-run manufacturer of electronic control panels in Warminster. We are looking for a practical, technically curious and organised person to join our team in a role linking customer requirements, engineering changes and production.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, solving problems and turning ideas into practical solutions.
The Role
Working closely with our Business Development team, you will take customer requirements and translate them into practical changes to our products and production process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding customer requirements and upcoming orders
- Modifying existing control panels and product lines to meet specific requirements
- Making metalwork, backplates and mechanical modifications
- Reading and understanding technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Carrying out mechanical assembly and modifications
- Communicating changes clearly to our wiring and production team
- Checking that customer requirements have been correctly understood and implemented
- Helping solve technical and production problems as they arise
- Assisting with wiring, cable preparation, crimping and electronics when required
- Working flexibly with the team to ensure deadlines are met
The Person

- Is confident asking questions and learning new skills

- Has good attention to detail
- Can communicate clearly with colleagues
- Is practical, hands-on and takes pride in their work
- Can use their initiative and take responsibility
- Is comfortable working in a changing environment
Experience with control panels, electronics, electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, metalwork or reading technical drawings would be an advantage. Experience with cutting and crimping wires would also be useful.
