Duties
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate construction processes
- Be good and confident in masonry work brick/block/stone
- Fabricate, assemble, and install building components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Perform carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, as required for each project
- Conduct heavy lifting safely to move materials and equipment around the site
- Execute precise masonry work and joinery tasks to create durable structures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, screwdrivers, and levels
- Skilled in operating power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety guidelines
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and supervisors
