Join the Opening Team at The Greyhound
The Greyhound is one of the best-known pubs in the Cromford and Matlock area and is currently undergoing a major refurbishment ahead of an exciting reopening in October 2026.
The venue combines a historic pub and restaurant with a nine-bedroom boutique hotel, and we are now building the front-of-house team that will help create the next chapter of The Greyhound.
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic Waiting Staff to join our opening team.
The Role
You will be an important part of the customer experience, helping us deliver the warm, relaxed and professional hospitality we want The Greyhound to become known for.
Your role will include:
- Welcoming guests and showing them to their tables
- Taking food and drink orders
- Serving food and drinks
- Checking that guests are happy throughout their meal
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Processing payments
- Keeping the restaurant clean, organised and ready for service
- Learning the menu and being able to answer basic customer questions
- Working closely with the bar and kitchen teams
- Helping create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere for every guest
About You
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is welcome, but it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
This could be a great opportunity if you are looking for your first job in hospitality, want to gain experience in a busy restaurant environment, or already have front-of-house experience and are looking for your next move.

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 45.0 per week
