Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented DaVinci Resolve (Colour Grading) Specialist to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for colour correction and grading, with the ability to enhance visual storytelling through expert utilisation of DaVinci Resolve. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from film and television to commercial productions, ensuring colour consistency and visual impact that meet high industry standards. Candidates should be proficient in a range of creative and technical skills, including video editing, graphic design, and 3D modelling, to support comprehensive post-production workflows.
Duties
- Colour grading and correction of video footage using DaVinci Resolve to achieve desired visual aesthetics.
- Collaborate with directors, cinematographers, and editors to understand project vision and deliver colour profiles that enhance storytelling.
- Apply colour grading techniques such as primary correction, secondary correction, masking, and node-based adjustments for optimal results.
- Integrate visual effects created in Cinema 4D, Maya, or Unreal Engine into final projects as required.
- Utilise Adobe Creative Suite tools including Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and Premiere for supplementary post-production tasks.
- Manage version control and project organisation using Perforce or similar software to ensure seamless workflow continuity.
- Assist in colour matching across different shots and scenes for consistency throughout the project.
- Support the team with graphic design elements or photography assets when needed.
- Maintain high standards of colour accuracy while adhering to project deadlines and specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience in colour grading using DaVinci Resolve within a professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator.
- Familiarity with 3D modelling and animation software including Cinema 4D, Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox, or 3ds Max is advantageous.
- Experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine for integrating visual assets is desirable.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or C++ can be beneficial for automation or custom workflows.
- Understanding of video editing principles combined with photography skills enhances overall post-production quality.
- A solid grasp of anatomy knowledge can assist in creating realistic visual effects or character work where applicable.
