The Role
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations. You’ll be a strong team player with excellent leadership skills, capable of maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team in their absence
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Assist in menu planning and daily specials
- Monitor stock levels and reduce waste
- Help train junior staff and encourage development
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Passion for great food and presentation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A calm, organised and reliable approach under pressure
- Understanding of kitchen budgets and cost control
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
