Job Summary
Peal Gold Mining Ltd. is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and organised Lead Healthcare Assistant to join our workplace health and wellbeing team in Manchester.
In this role, you will provide high-quality support to employees, assist with day-to-day healthcare and wellbeing activities, and help coordinate the work of healthcare assistants. You will work within agreed procedures and under the direction of an appropriate healthcare professional when clinical oversight is required.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Healthcare Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Team Leader who is ready to take on additional responsibility in a supportive and professional environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide respectful, person-centred care and practical support.
- Assist individuals with agreed health, wellbeing, and daily support needs.
- Coordinate daily tasks and support the effective organisation of the healthcare assistant team.
- Provide guidance and day-to-day support to healthcare assistants.
- Help allocate workloads and ensure essential duties are completed.
- Observe and report changes in an individual’s condition or wellbeing.
- Complete accurate care records, incident reports, and handover notes.
- Support health assessments, wellbeing checks, and workplace health activities within the boundaries of the role.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and established procedures.
- Promote dignity, independence, privacy, and personal choice.
- Communicate clearly with employees, healthcare professionals, managers, and relevant support services.
- Escalate health concerns promptly to the appropriate healthcare professional or manager.
- Assist with staff induction, coaching, and practical training.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention, safeguarding, and workplace safety.
- Support service reviews and suggest improvements to care and wellbeing processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in healthcare, social care, support work, occupational health support, or a related role is beneficial.
- Experience supporting or guiding colleagues is advantageous but not essential.
- Caring, respectful, and professional approach.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to changing situations.
- Comfortable maintaining accurate and confidential records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to complete relevant training and follow established procedures.
- A relevant care qualification is beneficial, although practical experience and transferable skills will also be considered.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.

Pay: £2,300.00-£3,000.00 per month
